LSBM offer a great range of student
services to our students and this is what separates us from other
institutions. We firmly believe in making our students happy and
accommodate them in any way we can.
At LSBM we look after each individual student and make sure that
they adjust properly to the busy London City life. We do this by
taking the student on an orientation tour of our main Bloomsbury
area, also advising them on things they may like to do or things
they may need.
We help students adjust by assisting them to register with a doctor,
Council tax exemption applications, National Insurance and even
opening a UK bank account.
From experience we know that these little things will help our
students greatly and make a huge impact on the adjusting period.
LSBM e-mail
We allocate all our students with personal LSBM email accounts,
through which we correspond with them.
LSBM Newsletter
Students receive a general update Newsletter each month wHere we
inform them of any changes, student events and community news.

LSBM Events
We organise one subsidised event per month for our students. Our

Bayswater, outdoor Ice skating in the Somerset House courtyard to
our International food party. After each event the pictures are
published on our newsletter and available for all students to
download.
Workshops
As an additional service, we provide students with career workshops
where they can speak to professionals about writing their CVs,
Interview techniques and possible careers after graduation.
Student Notice Boards
On our student boards we post information about accommodation to
rent in the area, job vacancies, visa information and other
important information that students may need or could find useful.
Providing Documentation
As part of our initial service we provide students with proof of
enrolment and other support documentation for any applications they
wish, for example discounted public transport, National insurance,
Council Tax, Registering with a doctor or becoming a member of the
British Library.
Resources at LSBM
LSBM provide students with a small onsite reference library which
they can use during class breaks. We also make arrangements for
students to join either the Senate house library or the British
library which are both a short distance from our site. Students are
also encouraged to purchase their own textbooks for each term and
are awarded with discount vouchers at the start of each term.
Birkbeck College
We provide our students with a computer account at Birkbeck college
to assist them with their studies and even credit this account with
a £10 printing allowance as a new student start up pack.
