Certificate in Management

This qualification provides an introduction to the LSBM Diploma in Business and Management.

The Certificate in Management course is intended for people who are considering a move into a first line management role or those who are new to such a role and can be taken individually or used to progress to the LSBM DBM if taken in conjunction with all other 7 certificates.

Aims

To help you learn and practice, as a first line manager or aspiring first line manager, about:

• developing yourself so that you can develop others
• the importance of a ‘customer’ focus
• gathering and communicating information
• setting objectives, planning and monitoring
• working effectively with and managing staff
• the basic concepts of quality, continuous improvement and change
• the application of strategic management principles to the development, organization, financing and operation of a business enterprise
