London School of Business and Management offers impartial information about applying for a student visa to study at LSBM. We also provide assistance in applications for visa extensions while in the UK.

What Sort of Visa Do You Need:

International students who want to study in the UK and join a course for more than six months, will need to apply for a Tier 4 general student visa from the UK Border Agency (UKBA). For information about the application procedure and an application form please visit the UKBA website.

On the UKBA Website you will find all information about the Visa process, How to apply and what documents you require. When applying for your Visa you will need to have specific Supporting Documents. General Documents Required are as Follows:

Valid Passport
Application form completed by the Applicant
Educational Documents
CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) Letter from University/College
Financial Supporting Documents
Proof of English Proficiency

Tier 4 Student Extensions

We also help students who may have a visa which does not cover the total duration of a course. Students should apply for a visa extension well in advance of its expiry date via the UKBA (Home office).

The General Documents required for a Visa Extension are:

Valid Passport
Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies
A Bank Statement
Biometric Residence Permit
Translation of Qualifications from Home Country
Transfer of Course or University/college Document
Application Form

Students must follow the guidelines on the UKBA website and complete and send their application form to the UKBA home office.

Post Study Work Visa:

As a student reaches the end of a Postgraduate Degree, they can apply for a Post Study Work (PSW) Visa. However, this type of visa will be withdrawn from April 2012. Please visit the UKBA website for more information on the PSW visa: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/
