Many LSBM students rely on financial support
from their parents or sponsors in order to study at the school. As
a parent or sponsor, there is great concern for the
well-being of the student, and LSBM takes an active role in
helping students and keeping parents and sponsors informed on
important issues. Specifically:
The school guides students through the application and visa
process, and offers a range of student services such as: assisting
to find accommodation, opening a bank account, organising student
discounts on the London transport network, helping to apply for a
National Insurance number and registering with a local
doctor, and giving advice on how to find part-time work.
The school is situated in a safe area of London, and being
close to major transport routes, students do not have to walk far
in order to reach public transport.
The school maintains contact with parents and sponsors in
order to keep them informed about class attendance and academic
progress. Should LSBM detect any academic problems, contact is
made with parents and sponsors as soon as possible in order to
rectify the situation.
The school also offers free English support to help students who
do not speak English as their home language. Although all the
academic programmes offered by LSBM require various levels of
English language ability, it is the school’s experience that
students benefit greatly from attending this support programme.
