Summer School in July
LSBM hosted a one week Summer School from 6th till 14th July.
Students from our
partner institutions in South Africa, the Midrand Graduate Institute
and CTI, participated in a weekly seminar leading to a Certificate in
Principles of International Business. Their programme also included
visiting famous sites in London, like the London Eye, Madame Tussaud’s,
National History Museum, etc.
The students enjoyed
a West End show and various other activities London has to offer. They
left with a Certificate and a handful of experience that will be
beneficial in their future.
A 360° picture of the
Summer School group was taken at Russell Square after their classes.

Welcome to a new Student Services Coordinator
Ms. Anouska Bedford was recently appointed as the School’s new Student
Services Coordinator. We would like to welcome her warmly to LSBM and
wish her success in this challenging and rewarding position.
Anouska has a creative background (Ceramics) and has also recently
completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in
Higher Education. She enjoys watching film, dance, visiting
exhibitions of painting, sculpture and design.
Anouska will help all current students with answering general
non-academic enquiries.
She says:
“I
will endeavour to help you to settle into life in London by assisting
you in: finding accommodation, registering with a Doctor, applying for
TFL discount Oyster card, setting up a bank account, and issues
related to part-time employment.
I will also be organizing monthly student events, so remember to look
on the notice board when you’re next in the office to see what’s
planned.
When you arrive I will help you set up your library and computer
account.
I’m enjoying the variety of duties which this role offers, and will be
looking forward to meeting you all at the beginning of the new term.”
