YOUR GATEWAY TO THE WORLD

LSBM on a Recruitment Trip to India
Melindi Britz, one of our Student Advisors, travelled to India in November to promote LSBM. She took part in education fairs in New Delhi and Mumbai. During her stay she met students and representatives from all over India.

London has always been one of the leading destinations for Indian students to apply for under- and postgraduate studies. The number of Indian students coming to study in the UK has risen, according to new figures released by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA).

LSBM has received a lot of interest from students looking for internationally recognised qualifications and quality provision at a private college.

On her return to the UK, Melindi was happy to report “I had a wonderful time in India and met wonderful people during my stay. I was privileged to have experienced Diwali, the festival of lights. I hope to see all the students next year in London.”

Greenwich Boat Trip
Despite the grey sky and cold temperatures, a group of brave LSBM students gathered together last month for an incredibly picturesque boat trip down the Thames to Greenwich.

This turned out to be a hugely successful event, and the students enjoyed recognising a number of famous landmarks including the Houses of Parliament, The London Eye, The Royal Festival hall, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf and much much more.

The tour was accompanied by a detailed commentary which gave us all some interesting historical background on the various buildings and monuments that line the riverbanks.

The trip was concluded with a delicious and very welcomed English pub lunch in a tavern overlooking the river in Greenwich. A lovely day out was enjoyed by all!

A former LSBM student, Miguel Solano from Colombia, shares his experiences:

“I found LSBM through the Internet, which I personally believe gave me the opportunity to find a great Business School. The LSBM experience brought me the opportunity to complement the academic chapter of my life with the chance to gain and develop new friendships and in addition develop future business relationships. After finishing my degree I returned to my home country and the work prospects could not be better. I’m working in a construction company where I am the general manager. I could not have this chance if it was not for my course. Besides my academic education, studying in LSBM has improved my English and confidence to speak fluently. In addition, studying in England has a differential advantage over many aspects, which you can use to your own benefit.”
