End of
Academic Year 2007/2008
LSBM students have finished their exams. After a term of studying,
group work, research and preparing assignments, they now can enjoy
their deserved holidays. For those that have completed their studies,
we would like to wish them the very best of luck in their careers. We
will be welcoming all returning students on 29th September.
The end of term was celebrated by students and staff at an
International Food Picnic.
End of Term International Food Picnic
What better way to celebrate the end of exams than with a picnic in
London’s beautiful Hyde Park? Students and staff thoroughly enjoyed
tasting food from all over the world at this multi-cultural lunch.
Following the meal, the more energetic among us took part in some
football and Frisbee activities. I’m not sure that we were quite up to
Euro 2008 standards but it definitely provided some good entertainment
for the rest of us!
I wish all students a wonderful summer holiday break.

LSBM visits India and Pakistan
During the month of April and May, Melindi Britz, Student Advisor,
travelled to India to attend India’s largest Education fair. This
successful event was hosted by Times Education and the response
from students was fantastic.
Melindi visited several cities in India including Mumbai, Goa,
Coimbatore, Chennai, and Hyderabad. LSBM often visits India to
promote our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and during
Melindi’s last visit we launched the exciting new 1 year MBA from
the University of Wales, Newport.
Melindi plans to return to India and Nepal during the month of
July, so keep an eye out for her next visit to your city.

Matt Gordon, another Student Advisor, visited Pakistan in May
where he met with our local representatives and future students.
Matt toured the major cities including: Lahore, Islamabad, Wah
Cantt and Rawalpindi, Gujranvala, Rahim Yar Khan and Multan.
Matt will issue a special edition
of a newsletter with more details about his trip. He will also
return to Pakistan in the summer for a follow up visit and
interview sessions with students. Please check our website for
updates.
